Welcome to Men's Cross Country

Cross country is a sport where athletes compete in 5k races (5,000 meters or 3.1 miles) over grassy and hilly terrain. We seek individuals who like to set goals and are willing to work hard to achieve them. No prior running experience is required.

While many think running is an individual sport, it requires a group of dedicated individuals who run together as a team. Scoring is based on the team's top five runners so winning is a team effort. Our varsity and junior varsity teams train and attend meets together.

In 2008, the Wildcat Cross Country Team went to the State meet for the second time in its 7-year history and placed 12th. They earned second place Academic All-State in Division I. The Wildcats were also the first Kensington Conference Champions and Coach Jon Mikosz was named Observer Coach of the Year.
